Hi, I'm Izzy. I am a hobby artist alongside my full-time job as equine vet.

Art has always been a big passion of mine and I am often doodling in my spare time. I like using different materials and techniques, but mainly drawing. Pet portraits are usually drawn in chalk pastel, for illustrations I use a mixture of charcoal pencil, coloured pencil and biro. I also like using watercolours and acrylics and hope to do a bit more painting soon. 

I love travelling and adventure, which inspires my art. Having grown up in the Hampshire countryside, I spent lots of time outdoors with animals (horses, dogs, cats and some farm animals!) and also drawing them. When I am not horsing about, I am either riding my bicycle or at the easel! With my veterinary training, I have studied animals inside and out which helps with observation and understanding how animals function!
